SmaBio Labs is pleased to welcome Michael Quinn Doherty, M.S., as a strategic collaborator and trusted CMC advisor through Pharmosaic ConsultingTM, LLC. With over two decades of pharmaceutical development experience, Michael brings a patient-centric mindset and a proven record of scientific innovation via holistic CMC strategies that combine rigorous scientific methodology with creative problem-solving. His career spans early-stage drug substance development to clinical manufacturing for drug products. He has held leadership roles at MedPharm and Lindy Biosciences where his technical leadership has contributed to the development of innovative formulations and platform technologies, including injectable high-concentration biologics and novel topical drug delivery systems. Michael has played a pivotal role in the development of breakthrough products including VTAMA® (topical cream for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis) and ZELSUVMI (topical gel for molluscum contagiosum). He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is trained in Lean Six Sigma methodologies. When he's not leading innovative drug development programs, Michael enjoys seeing live music, exploring the outdoors through camping, pretending he doesn’t like romantic comedies, and reading books that give him food for thought. At SmaBio Labs, Michael’s guidance will further strengthen our end-to-end CDMO capabilities - particularly in the areas of formulation development, clinical trial manufacturing and CMC strategy.
